Our School

Henry Street High School serves students in grades 9-12 in Whitby, Ontario.

Henry Street High School has a proud tradition of academic excellence, and of providing many and varied opportunities for students to get involved in school life. We have a strong athletics program, including team sports and intramural activities, numerous clubs and committees, a creative drama program, which produces fabulous student performances, and an outstanding music program. There are also opportunities for students to exhibit leadership in the school and community by participating in programs such as the Leadership Council, the Athletic Council, Best Buddies, our DECA club, or any of our 30 clubs and many sports teams.

See the Families link up top for ways that you can participate in your child's education. Also, make sure that you have access to the Parent Portal so you can access your child's report card and other important academic info. School Messenger is used for communications from the school and you can use School Messenger to report student absences.

Please contact our main office at 905-668-2731 if you have any difficulty setting up Parent Portal or School Messenger and we will be happy to assist you.  

Transportation, pick-up and drop-off

Please use the back parking lot to pickup and drop off students between 9:00am-9:30am as well as between 3:15-3:50pm. The loop in front of the school is used by the school buses for our specialized PLP program. The larger buses pickup and drop off students in front of the school on Henry Street. 

To access our back parking lot, use Harriet Street at the south end of the school.

If you wish to meet with another staff member, contact the school office to book a meeting. Please remember to sign in at the school office when you arrive.
