Cornish 1R.H. Cornish Public School is celebrating the success of its school-wide Words Have Weight initiative , a year-long effort focused on helping students understand the impact of their words and the power they hold to build, uplift, and connect.

The provincial Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) has released the 2024–2025 assessment results for Ontario schools. A big part of health and safety in schools is air quality.
Between 2020 and 2023, a total of 40 ventilation projects have been completed to upgrade the air quality in DDSB schools and buildings. This school year, an additional 3 ventilation projects are planned or already in progress.
